"Lumbee" is an exceptional psychedelic rock band from the end of the 60s. One of the first accomplished multi-racial bands (original members were: Willie French Lowery - Native American on lead guitar and vocals; Forris Fulford - Balck drummer; Carol Fitzgerald - Scoth-Irish female singer; Ronald Seiger - Hispanic, bass). The music is pretty complicated and reach, combining unison singing of 60s British invasion with desperate polyphonic passion of Deep South' godspels. The talent is boundless and mind-boggling, each song is a kind of mini-suite, a better producer could have cut at least 2 superb album. There are many ideas which could have become highlights of rock-musicals of that era.
