Mungo Jerry were formed in 1970 by singer/guitarist Ray Dorset (born March 21, 1946), who had a fascination with early rock & roll sounds, as well as skiffle and blues.
The second Mungo Jerry Bluesband perhaps not as strong as the first, but pretty good all the same. In keeping with recent Mungo releases, excellent booklet and sleeve notes, even if the original cover was a little bland. Included a new version of Ray Dorset's classic composition, "My Own Country".
This 2007 album titled "When She Comes She Runs All Over Me" is less on the old timey foot stomp and kazoo fare and more on a somewhat contemporary vibe but with very unique and interesting blues and funk and slow jams.
