The second CD from the Bluebirds features eight originals from guitarist/singer/producer Buddy Flett, two penned by bassist/vocalist Bruce Flett . “South From Memphis” showcases the band’s deep affinity for Delta Blues, Memphis Soul, and Southern Swamp Rock. It reached #14 on Living Blues charts and has been featured on many national radio shows, including ”House of Blues Radio Hour” and “Beale Street Caravan”. The Bluebirds have played many festivals , including New Orleans Jazz & Heritage, Helena’s Arkansas Blues&Heritage Festival, Memphis in May, Waterfront Blues(Portland,OR), Ft Lauderdale Blues Festival, Buck County R&B Picnic (Philadelphia,PA), Eureka Springs Blues Fest, and Howlin Wolf Blues Festival(West Point, MS). The group has played overseas in Belgium, the Netherlands, England, and Athens, Greece. The Bluebirds are Buddy Flett, guitars and vocals, Bruce Flett, bass and vocals, and Kevin Smith, drums .
